Allen Deneau

Learn More

Joining Bandit's team in 2023, Allen's path to becoming a client rep at Bandit may seem a bit unconventional compared to others.

After earning a BA in Business in 1992, he worked in retail management for five years, intentionally avoiding the entertainment industry despite growing up around music. His dad played music, and his parents owned one of the first Karaoke clubs in Chicagoland. In 1998, Allen started his own company serving events from Fortune 500 companies to private clients.

After moving to Tennessee in 2011, he began freelancing for audio and lighting companies, transitioning from audio to lighting for more creative opportunities. Allen initially avoided touring to stay home with family but later sought consistent work with the same acts. He toured with national cheerleading competitions, served as house LD at Marathon Music Works, and worked as LD and Crew Chief for events like Live on the Green and Vanderbilt’s Rites of Spring. In 2018, Allen became full-time LD for Diamond Rio, which gave him the consistency he wanted. After personal events and a desire to spend more time with family, Allen applied to Bandit in 2022. After meeting with Jake Tickle and Michael Strickland, he accepted a client rep position and officially joined on January 3, 2023, and plans to stay with Bandit Lites until retirement.

Outside of work, you will likely find him boating with his wife. He jokes that he only works to be able to boat. What Allen enjoys most as a client rep is building relationships, helping clients put on great shows, and balancing multiple projects at once.

In 2022, Mike transitioned into the Client Representative role, where he now serves as a primary point of contact for clients, helping guide each project from concept to execution.

His favorite part of the job is collaborating closely with clients to bring their creative visions to life. “The best part of this work is talking through a client’s vision and watching it take shape into reality,” he says. Mike thrives on translating ideas into practical solutions, ensuring that every project not only meets but exceeds expectations. His combination of technical knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for storytelling through lighting makes him an invaluable member of the Bandit Lites team.

Learn More

In 2011, Ty moved to Nashville, TN to join Bandit Lites, beginning an exciting career in live entertainment.

Starting as a freelance technician in September of that year, he quickly gained hands-on experience and built a reputation for reliability and skill. By June 2014, Ty was promoted to a full-time position, and later that year stepped into his first leadership role as crew chief on Miranda Lambert’s “Platinum” tour. Over the next several years, he continued to expand his expertise, serving as crew chief for Shinedown’s 2016 “Carnival of Madness” tour and as board operator for Chevelle in 2017. In 2021, he took on the combined role of designer, programmer, and operator for Breaking Benjamin, merging technical precision with creative vision.

In 2024, Ty transitioned from touring to become a client representative for Bandit Lites, continuing to support artists and productions from behind the scenes. He values Bandit’s unmatched home team support, which he describes as second to none.

Dizzy Gosnell

Diz joined Bandit in 1993 after they bought the US operation of Meteorlites that he had been with for 14 years and running the US office for 9 years in Maryland.

He toured extensively in the 80’s with the likes of Phil Collins, AC/DC, Paul Simon and Iron Maiden and it was on one of those tours that he first met Mike Strickland on tour with Blackfoot. Diz was also involved in the 80’s with the design & development of many key touring components such as the Thomas Pre Rig truss and ground support towers.

At Bandit in Nashville he was a client rep & general manager mainly focused on streamlining tour preps, and upscaling for Mike Stricklands goal of dramatically increasing touring shows. After moving to Sonoma County just north of San Francisco in the late 90’s his hands on warehouse role morphed into much more computer orientated advance work mode for designs, engineering solutions and final prep. Still a client rep, his Vice President role includes deep consultation with designers and production managers and project managers inside Bandit on streamlining our involvement in productions.
