Bandit Lites Promotes Jeremy Sinicki to Director of IT

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Bandit Lites is excited to announce that long-time employee Jeremy Sinicki has been promoted to Director of IT. As an integral member of the Bandit team, Sinicki’s commitment to upholding Bandit’s mission and standards of quality has shown through the time and effort he puts into his work.
Sinicki picked up lighting design back when he was just in elementary school, where he ran a spotlight for a talent show. In high school, Sinicki ran lights for his school’s auditorium, helping with events like school plays, assemblies and rental events. Simultaneously, Sinicki was developing his prowess in computers and information technology.
“In middle school, I was loading Accelerated Reader into the computers from floppy disks,” Sinicki said. “In high school, I redesigned and rewrote the entire high school website and went to a vocational school to learn networking.” Sinicki mentioned that he also built his own token ring in his bedroom out of spare hardware.
In college, Sinicki chose to pursue lighting. He now holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Lighting Design from the University of Florida. However, Sinicki never gave up his love for IT.
“I ended up working for the university events center and helped to run their event spaces,” said Sinicki. “That put me on the front lines to helping people with their computer issues and power point presentations as well as various A/V and networking technologies.”
It was in graduate school where the connection between Sinicki and Bandit Lites began to grow. During his time studying in Florida, Sinicki built a bond with former Bandit Chip Perry. That connection led to Sinicki eventually joining Bandit’s sales department after conversing with Perry and Bandit’s current Vice President of Integration Chris Barbee.
What started with a sales position grew into a career that covered all sides of production and live entertainment.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, both internally and for clients,” said Sinicki. “These have included museums, roller coasters, hotels, cruise ships, attractions and concert venues. What I’ve enjoyed most is building long-term relationships with clients and teams, including Visual Terrain, Wolfe & Travis and Opry Entertainment.”
During Covid, Sinicki stepped up to help current Vice President of Operations Roth Edwards with networking and local IT support. From there, he began to get more involved with internal operations at Bandit, including networking, software integrations, developing access control systems and taking up various IoT initiatives to help modernize and improve Bandit’s infrastructure.
“[Sinicki] leading our IT department is a huge win for us and anyone else lucky enough to cross paths with him,” said Edwards. “The fact that he is deeply familiar with the industry brings so much more to our team here at Bandit and dare I say the industry as a whole. I look forward to learning so much more from Jeremy as he takes the reins of this department.”
Due to his prowess in computers and networking and his commitment to upholding the Bandit standard, Bandit offered Sinicki the role of Director of IT. As Director of IT, Sinicki will lead his department in developing and maintaining Bandit operations on the technical side of operations, ensuring all systems meet the company’s organizational needs.
Bandit recognizes Sinicki’s drive and dedication to putting out high-quality work and his ability to adapt to different high-pressure situations and provide fitting solutions. His mindset and technical skills have made him an irreplaceable member of the team and Bandit is proud to have someone like Sinicki take on the role of Director of IT.
