Nashville, TN – Bandit Lites is proud to announce the hiring of Emile Toca as Project Manager, further strengthening the company’s commitment to delivering world-class lighting and production solutions.
Toca joins Bandit with a lifelong passion for entertainment and a diverse background spanning performance, technical production, and design. His journey in the industry began at just eight years old as a musician, sparking a deep appreciation for live performance. By 17, he was working in lighting at the arena where he grew up, operating a carbon arc spotlight and training under the house Master Electrician. Under that mentorship, Toca developed a strong foundation in touring electrical systems and safety practices – principles that continue to shape his professional approach today.
From there, he expanded into ground rigging and eventually moved into designing and programming shows throughout his twenties. This well-rounded experience gives Toca a comprehensive understanding of production from multiple vantage points – onstage, backstage and behind the console.
“I have been in entertainment since I was a small child,†said Toca. “I enjoy working on taking a paper vision and turning it into a real-world show. I really like putting the puzzle pieces together.â€
Though new to Bandit, Toca has already been struck by the company’s culture.
“Being here for only a week, I have one great takeaway – and it would be the people,†he said. “All the staff I have interacted with have been very welcoming and open to helping answer questions. The staff acts and treats each other like family – and a functional one at that. I already feel like I belong here and not like an outsider.â€
He also noted the consistent professionalism across the organization.
“People show pride in their work, whether it’s a small one-off or a large show going out,†Toca added. “The work and care being put in has the same high standards.â€
In his new role as Project Manager, Toca will oversee project coordination, client communication and execution strategies, ensuring each production meets Bandit’s exacting standards from prep through load-out. His hands-on background in lighting, rigging and programming positions him uniquely to understand both the creative vision and the technical requirements necessary to bring complex productions to life.
