NASHVILLE, TN – Bandit Lites is proud to support country music’s next global superstar, Megan Moroney, who recently was named New Female Artist of the year at the 59th ACM Awards as well racking up the most nominations for a female artist. Known for her authentic storytelling and rich vocals, Moroney’s lyrical prowess is apparent in her sophomore album “Am I Ok?”. By blending traditional country elements with contemporary sounds, she’s captivated existing country fans and roped new ones in as she explores themes of love, heartbreak and emotional resilience.
Bandit Lites founder Michael T. Strickland witnessed the raw potential and passion for music early in Moroney’s career saying, “I first saw Megan when she was just out of college and was not even a club act. After one show, you knew she had IT! There are very few entertainers that have that magical combination of talent, songwriting, charm and charisma and they instantly draw you into their soul. Megan was that young lady. Bubbly, blonde, fun, and exuding more emotion and confidence than I have ever seen. I also found a young Garth Brooks and a young Keith Urban in much the same way. Beyond that, Megan is one of the most masterful songwriters in the industry. She has already won CMT Female Breakthrough Video of the Year and ACM New Female Artist of the Year!”
Lighting designer Tim Keller crafted a supplemental package that would meet the size limitations of the truck pack, utilizing Martin MAC Vipers and Cyc FX fixtures. With venue sizes ranging from imitate theaters to massive stadiums, simplicity has been the key to consistency, allowing for audiences of all sizes to enjoy who they came to see: Megan.
In addition to performing on Kenny Chesney’s Sun Goes Down Tour this summer, Moroney toured with Bandit clients Jamey Johnson and Brooks & Dunn in addition to selling out her own headline tours, including the Lucky 2.0 Tour.
“The evolution of this show is rapid and exciting,” said Keller. “Coming from small clubs in the fall last year, to sold out headline shows in amphitheaters, and opening for Kenny Chesney in stadiums, we are rapidly adapting to new challenges with excitement on how fast we are moving forward.”
