System Integrator

JOB SUMMARY: The system integrator is responsible for the development and communication of the details required to take a project from concept to construction documents.  During the construction process they will continue to support the project by providing direction and resources for the resolution of issues. Duties include system design, planning, integration, quoting, coordinating labor and equipment, ordering items and shipping. Project disciplines will include performance lighting, performance rigging, architectural lighting, stage draperies and other associated systems.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Understand, abide, and instill the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the “Bandit Standard.”
  • Participate in the project design phase including coordination meetings, design meetings, integration needs and project deliverables.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing project system integration solutions for: Theatrical lighting integration, Architectural lighting integration, Drapery and track integration, Rigging integration, Integration with other 3rd party systems.
  • Communicate systems solutions by creation of: Submittal packages, Control systems layouts, Integration drawings, Detail drawings, Detailed BOM for purchasing/execution, Material delivery schedules.
  • Review outside consultant and bid proposals to prepare take offs and quotations.
  • Coordinate and support purchasing during costing phase.
  • Collaborate with integration team & outside vendors/contractors with system solutions.
  • Collaborate/coordinate with integration project manager to facilitate needs and schedule.
  • Collaborate with design & site teams to create realistic estimates of labor requirements.
  • Coordinate with integration facility manager & logistics/ inventory specialist to allocate project inventory.
  • Collaborate with design & integration teams to establish and maintain Bandit standards.
  • Recommend minimum stock levels of inventory needed by integration division.
  • Review project site reports daily to ensure project is on track and assist in issue resolution.
  • Assist in design, technical, and research and development projects as assigned.
  • Assist in generating / maintaining an appropriate file management system.
  • Assist with creation and management of integration projects in document management and accounting systems.
  • Provide support to on-site installation team.
  • Assist with quotes, orders, invoicing, and shipment of goods for integration projects.
  • Obtain quotes from vendors for goods for projects and review them for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with facility manager to complete project preps and ensure that all preparation is being completed to the “Bandit Standard”.
  • Assist with installation project budget entry in accounting system.
  • Respond to requests for information using project documentation and accounting system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows; AutoCAD software experience; Proficient with presentations using virtual conference software including Teams and Zoom; use of basic office equipment and multi-line phone.

  • Working understanding of the theory and practical application of architectural lighting controls.
  • Knowledge and experience in use of high-end lighting control systems.
  • Hands-on, production related experience with a wide variety of theatrical and concert lighting equipment, including ETC, STRAND, AVOLITES, HIGH END SYSTEMS, MARTIN, VARI-LITE, ROBE, GLP, MA, CLAY PAKY, CHAUVET AND OTHERS.
  • Must have practical experience in logistics of working in a amusement parks, theatres, arenas, and live entertainment complexes.
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment comprised of internal and external members.
  • Reliable, flexible, and dependable
  • Self-motivated, proactive, results oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Adapts easily to changing priorities, methods, and timelines.
  • Must be able to work at heights.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
  • Must live in location specified above
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably and to stand / walk for extended period of time
  • Willing to take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4-year college degree in theatre/theatrical design, or equivalent experience

REASONING SKILLS: Ability to exercise and display good judgment and prioritize projects.
