Marketing & Media Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing & Media Coordinator is responsible for executing Bandit Lites’ marketing, public relations, and media strategies across both digital and traditional platforms. This role manages day-to-day media communications, maintains and updates company channels, supports internal messaging, and drives initiatives that strengthen the company’s brand and market presence. The Coordinator works cross-functionally to promote company news, enhance industry visibility, and ensure consistent messaging that aligns with organizational goals. Ideal candidates will bring a strong mix of communication, project management, and content development skills to support both external outreach and internal engagement.

  • Understands, abides by, and instills the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Bandit Lites.
  • Develop and execute innovative public relations and marketing campaigns that enhance the image and positioning of Bandit Lites.
  • Ensure all messaging reflects the company’s mission, values, and core offerings, aligning with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new media and marketing opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring that posts are scheduled and aligned with company events, shows, and key promotions.
  • Report on the effectiveness of media outreach efforts, including identified areas for improvement and adjustments.
  • Manage all company social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X), including developing platform-specific content strategies and creating original photo and video content.
  • Proactively grow social media presence by encouraging internal engagement, responding to audience interactions, and leveraging content, employee spotlights, and customer testimonials.
  • Monitor social media analytics to measure performance, optimize strategy, and report on key metrics.
  • Collaborate with the website team to update and maintain the company website and intranet, ensuring it accurately reflects the brand and is user-friendly.
  • Audit and enhance the SEO structure of the Bandit Lites website, optimizing metadata, keywords, and content for search visibility.
  • Draft ideas for new content, including landing pages, posts, and promotional updates.
  • Write and publish press releases and about relevant company projects on the company website.
  • Distribute press releases and other communication materials to relevant industry outlets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.
  • Handle media inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely responses to maintain a positive public image.
  • Encourage employee engagement on social platforms through best practice training and content contribution opportunities.
  • Update and publish Bandit Lite’s internal marketing content including weekly newsletters and televised signage across facilities.
  • Coordinate Bandit Lites’ participation in industry trade shows, conferences, and live events, ensuring maximum visibility and impact.
  • Manage event logistics, including booth setup and coordination with sponsors or vendors.
  • Collect and organize photos and videos of events for use in future promotional materials and social media content.
  • Independently create, shoot, and edit photo/video content for use across social, digital, and internal platforms.
  • Monitor and report social media channels, blogs, and industry publications for mentions of Bandit Lites, addressing any potential PR issues promptly.
  • Work proactively to identify opportunities for new media coverage.
  • Prepare detailed reports that analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including advertising placements, engagement, and traffic.
  • Research and implement a targeted digital ad strategy across platforms like Google Ads, LinkedIn, and Instagram to drive traffic and lead generation.
  • Regularly suggest reallocation of marketing dollars to high-ROI digital promotions.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries as needed and operate the remote entry system to allow permitted visitors access to Bandit Lite’s facilities.
  • Communicate with students, academic institutions, and other job fair organizers to promote Bandit Lites as a potential internship program or employer
  • Coordinate with client representatives and suppliers for production of branded merchandise, including t-shirts, ensuring timely distribution to staff and clients.
  • Update staff internally on new merchandise arrivals.
  • Assist in the design of company apparel and swag, incorporating brand guidelines and seasonal/event-specific themes.
  • Support the creation and layout of marketing materials such as flyers, posters, digital ads, and videos.
  • Maintain an organized archive of digital marketing assets including previous material and design files for future use.
  • Serve as a brand steward, ensuring every post, ad, and asset reflects Bandit Lites’ mission, competitive advantage, and industry leadership.
  • Proactively contributes to the company’s evolving marketing vision by making regular strategic suggestions related to branding, promotional focus, content themes, and audience engagement tactics, ensuring alignment with industry trends and business goals.

Requirements and Expectations

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proven experience in crafting press releases, managing media outreach, and securing media coverage across multiple platforms.
  • Experience managing social media accounts, creating content, and analyzing performance metrics across multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling content for both traditional media and social media channels.
  • Ability to independently ideate, script, shoot, and edit original content, serving as the company’s primary in-house content creator.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple campaigns, deadlines, and content pipelines simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop innovative campaigns that align with Bandit Lites’ brand and engage with the target audience effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with media contacts, influencers, and clients, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content management systems.
  • Experience in answering phones, managing general office communications, and familiarity with remote entry systems.
  • Experience in shooting and editing photos and videos for promotional use on websites, social media, and press materials.
  • Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) best practices to enhance digital content visibility.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) to assist with creating promotional visuals and social media posts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
