General Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager at Bandit Lites is responsible for overseeing all personnel, scheduling, and operational workflows across tours, projects, prep, and warehouse operations. This role ensures that all jobs are staffed with qualified personnel, manage technician applications, enforce company policies, and maintain a culture of safety, professionalism, and productivity. Additionally, the General Manager monitors daily operations, allocates labor, and collaborates to keep projects on schedule. They address technician performance issues, conduct evaluations, and work with HR as needed to maintain an accountable and high-performing team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

- Understands, abides by, and instills the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Bandit Lites.
- Maintain and enforce company standards, best practices, and expectations related to safety, professionalism, and operations.
- Ensure all personnel are on task, present, and contributing to assigned operations.
- Support leadership initiatives and support additional roles when necessary.
- Forecast staffing needs for upcoming projects and preschedule crew to meet demand.
- Ensure all jobs are staffed with qualified personnel that meet project requirements and client expectations.
- Maintain up-to-date visibility of technician availability to support accurate scheduling and staffing decisions.
- Review and manage incoming lighting technician applications, conduct interviews, evaluate candidate skill levels, execute certain portions of the hiring process, and ensure all hires meet the company’s quality and performance standards.
- Develop and manage active crew schedules for tours and projects, ensuring proper staffing coverage for both full-time and freelance personnel.

- Communicate scheduled assignments clearly to all personnel.
- Adjust schedules as needed and communicate changes in a timely manner.
- Publish and enforce the daily job board outlining the allocation of labor, and actively monitor operational needs throughout the day to adjust staffing as necessary.
- Determine prep labor budgets (crew size and duration) aligned with project scope and size.
- Conduct initial resource evaluations for all jobs. (Space, Time, People)
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure prep crews are properly staffed and projects stay on schedule.
- Assign and orchestrate project prep areas to ensure optimal space allocation and workflow efficiency.
- Assign and adjust facility space for any unexpected or ad hoc needs to ensure work is completed efficiently and without disruption.
- Provide guidance for new and existing personnel.
- Ensure personnel are properly equipped with the knowledge and skills required for their roles.
- Lead ongoing recruiting efforts, build relationships with industry professionals and talent pipelines, and source qualified candidates through networking, outreach, events, and strategic partnerships.
- Monitor personnel performance, productivity, and adherence to policies.
- Address behavioral issues, distractions, and policy violations.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Resolve issues professionally and escalate to HR when appropriate.
Requirements and Expectations
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong understanding of personnel management software and systems, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms as necessary.
- Proficiency in managing complex crew schedules, ensuring effective personnel allocation and the ability to adjust schedules as needed.
- Strong people management skills, including conflict resolution, performance management, and motivation of the event staff.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, including creating, managing, and interpreting spreadsheets, utilizing formulas, and generating reports for tracking personnel data and schedules.
- Knowledge and adherence to safety regulations, ensuring that all crew members follow appropriate safety protocols and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associates degree in relevant field.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant personnel management experience, preferably in the event industry.
