Financial Reporting Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing financial reporting and compliance. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Reporting Manager ensures accuracy in financial reporting, enforces internal controls, and collaborates with the accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Sales Support Accounting. This role is a key player in financial strategy and long-term planning.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

- Understands, abides by and embodies the philosophy, policies and procedures of Bandit Lites.
- Maintain the monthly trial balance account reconciliation database; manage the reconciliation process.
- Prepare and post journal entries for the monthly amortization of prepaid expenses.
- Calculate monthly expense allocations of insurance premiums to operating departments.
- Prepare monthly reports for all corporate credit card transactions; set up and process monthly payments.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules and reconcile to the general ledger.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing schedules. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheet and variance analyses.
- Prepare and distribute Monthly Financial Statement reporting package.
- Assist in tax compliance, including reporting, audits, and filings for federal, state, and local requirements.
- Manage revenue recognition schedules, cost analysis, and profitability analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor internal controls to ensure financial integrity and accuracy.
- Assist with the oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset processes and functions.
- Be familiar with all accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset job descriptions and tasks.
- Work closely with department heads to ensure financial strategies align with operational needs.
- Assist in system improvements and process automation for enhanced efficiency.
- Handle ad hoc financial projects and assignments as required.
Requirements and Expectations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes, including invoicing, collections, payment application, and cash application procedures.
- Experience with financial software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Thorough understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and audit procedures.
- Experience in managing cost analysis, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
- Ability to perform complex reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and relevant financial reporting standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Experience: 15+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
