Chain Hoist Technician
JOB SUMMARY
The Chain Hoist Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing chain hoists, hoist control, hoist components & hardware equipment including educating all road staff and production crew on proper maintenance and parts installation techniques.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Understands, abides by, and instills the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Bandit Lites.
- Tests & repairs chain hoists, hoist control and hoist power distribution equipment.
- Responsible for inventory control and repair log of chain hoists, hoist control and hoist power distribution equipment.
- Oversee care and maintenance of all rigging (steel, span sets, shackles, deck chains, O-rings, and pear rings),
- Performs and oversees motor control panel builds.
- Instructs road staff on care and maintenance of hoists and rigging equipment.
- Oversee all people assisting and keep them off cell phones and on task at all times.
- Write up assisting people for poor performance or violating Guidelines, and report to HR.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- Very strong Soldering skills & ability to troubleshoot electronic devices
- Ability to read and understand schematics
- Familiarity with standard equipment such as a multi-meter or oscilloscope.
- Understands safety protocol with high voltages
- Ability to work with small components in confined spaces.
- Computer troubleshooting skills.
- Previous work with Pulse Width Modulation, Stepper Motor Drivers, Power Supplies, Logic Circuits, or serial communications.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and to stand/walk for extended periods.
Education
Associate degree or greater; additional technical certifications are a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in chain hoist maintenance.
