Nashville, Tennessee – When the Country Music Association (CMA) announced the nominees for Country music’s top touring professionals to be honored at the 19th annual CMA Touring Awards, only one lighting company was among the list: Bandit Lites. Hosted by country music superstar Keith Urban, the industry celebration will be held March 3 in Nashville.
With 58 years in business, and 58 years in Country music, Bandit Lites commitment to excellence in lighting began with Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Kenny Rogers, The Judds, Alabama, Toby Keith, to now Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, HARDY, Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Cody Johnson, Zach Top and beyond. Now nominated for Support Services Company of the Year, Bandit Lites shines as the singular lighting company recognized by the 2024 CMA Touring Awards.
Michael T. Strickland, a CMA Award recipient in 2023, shares, “The great team at Bandit is honored to be nominated for Support Services Company of the Year. We work every day to deliver excellence at the highest level and appreciate this accolade. Having been in the Country Music Industry since 1968, we have a well-founded understanding of the artists.”
In addition to Bandit Lites nomination, Trevor Drawdy and Andy Knighton are both nominated for Lighting Director of the Year; Drawdy for his work with HARDY and Knighton for his work with Aldean. Bandit clients HARDY, Jason Aldean, Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood all have people nominated for various awards.
“Taking the time to honor the outstanding work of our touring community is one of our most proud nights of the year,” says Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer in a press release. “Our road warriors are the ones who take the soul of Nashville on the road and share it with the rest of the world in creative and exciting ways. Country Music’s growth simply would not be possible without each and every one of our nominees and we are so excited to celebrate them this coming March.”
The final round of voting for 2024 CMA Touring Awards opens Monday, Jan. 6.
